Scores of friends help Margaret Owen celebrate her 90th

BRISTOL — Margaret Owen and about 68 friends celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 4, at the First Baptist Church of Bristol.
Music was provided by David Henderson, Jenny Telling and Stephanie Ahern and included the “Margaret Waltz” and a song that was written by Owen, herself, and Telling. The words were a poem that Owen had written about her faith in the Lord, which she called “My Friend.”
Margaret Owen said she was thankful to her friends for the wonderful party. She said that she will long remember it and thanks everyone for the lovely cards and surprise gifts.
