MUHS gymnasts host St. Johnsbury

MIDDLEBURY — Visiting St. Johnsbury defeated the Middlebury Union High School gymnastics team on Dec. 28, 106.2-98.1.
Highlighting the Tigers’ efforts were Olivia Beauchamp, who won on the beam, and Laura Whitley, who finished in the top three in four events.
The top three in each event were:
Vault: 1. Emma Stelzner (St. J), 8.4; 2. Molly Young (St. J), 8.0; 3. Hannah Parker (St. J), 7.8.
Bars: 1. Stelzner (St. J), 7.75; 2. Young (St. J), 5.9; 3. Whitley, 5.85.
Beam: 1. Beauchamp, 8.0; 2. Whitley, 7.75; 3. Young (St. J) 7.45.
Floor: 1. Parker (St. J), 7.45; 2. Julianna Williams (Independent, Fair Haven), 7.35; 3. Whitley, 7.3.
All Around: 1. Stelzner (St. J), 30.35; 2. Parker (St. J), 27.3; 3. Whitley, 26.55.
