Patrick Fitzsimmons to take stage in Ripton

Singer/songwriter Patrick Fitzsimmons will perform with and Becca Kodak on violin at The Ripton Community Coffee House on Saturday, Jan. 5.
Fitzsimmons is a 2011 and 2012 Solarfest national songwriting contest finalist and a three time Ploughshares national songwriting contest finalist. He has shared the stage with some of the acoustic music scene’s biggest names including Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams, Roger McGuinn, Ellis Paul and Vance Gilbert.
Fitzsimmons is a founding member of From Good Homes, a roots rock band signed to RCA Records in the mid to late ’90s. He began his solo career in 2001 and continues to tour throughout the northeast building a large and loyal following with his soulful, captivating performances. He just released his seventh CD, “Bird Tree” which is currently being played on radio stations all over Vermont and beyond.

Like usual, doors open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin with an open-mic session at 7:30  p.m., followed by the featured performers.
