Lincoln news for Aug. 1

LINCOLN — Let the Bobcat Cafe take care of your dinner plans on Wednesday, Aug. 7, to help raise money for the Lincoln Library. The Bobcat will donate a portion of the dinner proceeds to help support the library. For reservations, call 453-3311. Grab your friends and family and enjoy a nice night out. We’ll see you at the Bobcat.
The annual meeting of the Lincoln Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m., at the town office. Our program will feature Bobby Patterson, informing us of past local wildlife. The museum and barn will be open at noon. Plan a visit before the meeting.
There’s plenty of summer left, so if you’re planning some fun excursions, don’t forget that there are discounted passes to some amazing places at the Lincoln Library.
•  The Vermont State Historic Sites Pass will admit up to eight people in one vehicle for free. For a listing of State Historic Sites visit.historicsites.vermont.gov.
 • They also have two passes to Shelburne Farms. Each pass admits two adults and their children under 18 years old to the Walking Trails and Children’s Farmyard.  Visit shelburnefarms.org for more information.
•  The Shelburne Museum pass allows two adults and up to four children into the museum for half price. Visit shelburnemuseum.org for more information.
•  The Echo Museum pass offers $4 admission for up to four people. To learn more about the museum visit echovermont.org.
•  The American Precision Museum in Windsor, Vermont, is housed in the original Robbins and Lawrence Armory and now holds the largest collection of historically significant machine tools in the nation. This pass offers free admission for one family. Check out their website at americanprecision.org.
•  The Vermont History Museum in Montpelier offers free admission for one family using the library pass. Visit their website at vthistory.org for more information.
