Grants to fund Actors Workshop’s October performances
MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury Actors Workshop has announced that it received two grants for its upcoming production of the Pulitzer Prize- and Obie Award-winning play “The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds” by Paul Zindel.
The first is a $2,000 Project Grant from the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The second is a $1,500 grant from the Vermont Arts Endowment Fund of the Vermont Community Foundation.
Both grants are vital sources of support for MAW, and make it possible to bring high-quality theatrical experiences to Addison County, drawing on the best talent Vermont has to offer.
“The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds” opens on Friday, Oct. 23, and plays through Friday, Oct. 30, at Town Hall Theater in Middlebury.
