TERRA LIN THOMAS

PITTSFORD — Terra Lin Thomas, age 36, passed peacefully Dec. 11, 2025, at her home in Pittsford following a courageous battle with cancer.

Terra was born in Middlebury June 1, 1989. She was the daughter of Michael and Linda (Samuelsen) King. Terra grew up in Orwell, where she received her early education. She graduated from Fair Haven Union High School, class of 2007. She earned her degree in Social Work from the University of Vermont, class of 2011.

Terra was forced to retire in September of this year due to illness. She had worked more than 8 years and was supervisor of Patient Financial Services at Porter Hospital in Middlebury. She loved animals, especially cats.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Walker Thomas, whom she married at Parsons Beach in Kennebunk, Maine on July 4, 2014; her parents, Michael and Linda King; and her brother, Dustin King and his wife Caitlin.

Respecting her wishes, a private gathering in celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in her memory to the Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
