Manure injections have benefits for farmers
FERRISBURGH DAIRY FARMER Allan Brisson uses a dragline manure injector (attached to a tractor as shown here) to deposit the waste from his dairy herd into his corn and grass fields, rather than spreading it on top. He said the practice has yielded healthy crops and led to cost savings on supplemental fertilizer.

Around six years ago, Ferrisburgh dairy farmer Allan Brisson began rethinking the way he fertilized his corn fields. He decided come that fall, he’d inject manure from his herd of dairy cows into the soil, rather than spread the waste on the fields’ surface.
