COLCHESTER — David C. Stowe, 75, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at his home in Colchester.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1948, in Middlebury, the son of Wright and Helena (Hamner) Stowe.

He was a 1966 graduate of Beeman Academy in New Haven, Vt., and 1968 graduate from Essex Agriculture and Technical Institute in Hawthorne, Mass. He worked in gardens on private estates and kitchens and his last job was with Champlain Cable.

He loved gardening and reading.

David is survived by his brother, Roger Stowe; and his wife Elizabeth, of New Haven.
