BRISTOL — Bristol police on May 30 responded to a call on Airport Drive regarding a local juvenile who had tobacco, marijuana and alcohol. Police issued tickets to the individual. 

In recent weeks, police also dealt with a couple of domestic disputes in Bristol. On May 28 an officer responded to a family fight on South Street. An involved individual denied that a dispute had occurred, and an investigation is ongoing. 

Police on June 2 responded to a report of people yelling on Morgan Horse Lane. The individuals were gone when police arrived, and officers could not locate anyone who witnessed the incident. 

Between May 14 and June 3 Bristol police completed 63 foot patrols and six car patrols, conducted 50 traffic stops and checked the security at Mount Abraham Union High School 18 times, at Bristol Elementary School 18 times and at local businesses 18 times. 

Police also processed 19 fingerprint requests, conducted two welfare checks, helped one individual get into their locked vehicle and facilitated the return of one lost wallet. 

In other recent activity, Bristol police: 

• On May 14 helped with a low hanging phone line on Pine Street. 

• On May 15 received a report of a threat on Airport Drive. An investigation revealed no threat had been made. 

• On May 16 responded to a dispute between neighbors on Church Street. The involved individual will contact an attorney regarding the civil matter. 

• On May 16 responded to a juvenile problem on Airport Drive. The juveniles were gone when police arrived. 

• On May 17 assisted Bristol Elementary with a truancy concern.

• On May 17 responded to a two-car crash on Prince Lane that resulted in no injuries. 

• On May 17 responded to a motor vehicle complaint in the Stoney Hill area near Airport Drive. Police located the vehicles and issued warnings. 

• On May 18 checked on a dog in a camper parked at Bartlett Falls. Police determined the dog was not in distress, the camper was ventilated and that the owner was with the animal. 

• On May 19 provided traffic control while a disabled vehicle was removed from the travel lane on North Street. 

• On May 20 responded to a minor two-car crash on West Street. 

• On May 21 helped an individual on Stonewall Drive access resources for a civil issue. 

• On May 22 received a report of fraud on High Street. An investigation is ongoing. 

• On May 22 received a report of theft on Main Street. An investigation is ongoing. 

• On May 23 spoke with students at Mount Abe about the consequences related to alcohol and drug offenses. 

• On May 24 provided contact information for a civil issue on Church Street. 

• On May 25 provided traffic control while a banner was placed over West Street. 

• On May 27 investigated an unfounded report of animal neglect on Route 116 North. 

• On May 29 assisted Vergennes police with traffic control during the Vergennes Memorial Day Parade. 

• On May 29 responded to a minor two-car crash on Main Street that resulted in no injuries. 

• On May 31 helped an individual with transportation from West Street. Police also provided contact information for a social service resource. 

• On June 1 monitored traffic during an evacuation and relocation drill at Mount Abe 

• On June 1 received a delayed report of an assault involving juveniles. An investigation is ongoing. 

• On June 2 responded to a minor car crash involving two vehicles on Prince Lane.
