Putting in the miles pays off for young swimmers

THIS IS HALF of the contingent of 12 Addison County swimmers who have commuted to South Burlington multiple times a week all winter to improve their swimming. Shown near the pool at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction during the New England Regional Championships last month are, left to right, Bee Eckels, Nora Wootten, Natalie Rockwell, Carlyn Rapoport, Holly Staats and Aidan Chance. Their perseverance has paid off as they will swim at a New England Silvers Championship Meet this weekend. Photo courtesy of Dena Greenman
