St. Stephen’s accepting donations for Peasant Market

MIDDLEBURY — Clear your clutter and support your community. St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Middlebury is accepting donations for its annual Peasant Market, where every item sold helps fund local nonprofits. The much-anticipated event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.

Donation drop-off times at the church on the Middlebury Town Green are:

• 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, June 24

• 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 27

• 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, June 28

• 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1

Items must be clean and in good condition and working order. Here is what is accepted: antiques, jewelry, linens, fabric and sewing supplies, kitchenware, toys and games, vinyl records and CDs, white elephant items, sporting goods, home improvement goods and tools, garden plants and tools, handmade arts and crafts, and furniture one person can carry.

Here is what is not accepted: books, clothing, shoes, anything with a safety buckle (helmets, car seats, etc.), gun safes or weapons, cleaning products or chemicals, electronics, stuffed animals, appliances, luggage, large furniture, DVDs, VHS or cassette tapes.

“There’s no better way to let go of things you don’t need while making a difference in your community,” said 2026 co-chair Tom Klemmer.
