Middlebury winter parking ban in effect Tuesday night-Wednesday morning
Winter weather is blowing into the region on Tuesday — and so is downtown Middlebury’s overnight parking ban.
The Middlebury Department of Public Works announced that the ban will be in effect from midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 2 until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Vehicles parked on town highways and in town lots during this time will be ticketed and towed.
The Middlebury selectboard recently elected to revise its winter parking policy in order minimize ticketing and maximize parking availability. The new policy allows overnight parking, except when snow is in the immediate forecast, during storms or when crews need to plow.
