Adding 6th grade to Vergennes Union Middle School was a success. Here’s why.

VERGENNES UNION MIDDLE School 7th-graders, from left, Nova Provencher, Katie Johnstone and Colvin Killon were a year ago members of the first class of 6th-graders to join the middle school that shares a building with Vergennes Union High School. They agree with school administrators and teachers that the inclusion of their class and a new class of 6th-graders this fall at the school has worked out well.
