Silent film thriller called ‘granddaddy’ of all espionage movies

Portrait of a criminal mastermind. Haghi (Rudolph Klein-Rogge) plots world dominance in “Spies” (1928), to be screened with live music on Friday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m., in the Brandon Town Hall and Community Center. Admission is free; donations are welcome to help defray expenses.
