Lerin Dru Peters, 69, of Middlebury
MIDDLEBURY — Lerin Dru Peters, 69, of Middlebury, passed away on Nov. 16, 2024, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Born on Sept. 3, 1955, in Iowa City, Iowa, she was the only daughter of Doc. Wayne “Pete” and Natalie Peters.
Lerin was best known for her quick wit, wonderful laugh, and her love of reading. Early in her life, she found joy and passion as a nurse. She was a loving mother and loyal friend, all while battling MS. Later in life, she adored spending time with her close friends and family, and watching the Colts play on Sunday.
She is survived by her mother, Natalie Peters; her siblings, David, Eric, and Ross Peters; her three sons, Jacob, Justin, and Peter Berkner; her grandchildren; and her good friends Fitz and Matt. Gone too soon, her presence will be deeply missed by those closest to her. A small celebration of life will be held for her in Middlebury. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make a donation to the Ilsley Public Library in her name. ◊
