Champs swim to two victories

VERGENNES — The Vergennes Champs easily swept their final two meets heading into this weekend’s Champlain Valley Swim League meet, which the Middlebury Marlins will host at the Middlebury town pool on Friday and Saturday.

On Thursday, July 17, the Champs breezed past host Burlington Country Club, 293-135, and on Tuesday they defeated host Essex by an even larger margin, 356-107, in a meet postponed from earlier this season.

The Vermont Swim Association’s annual summer championship meet will be held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in Hartford next weekend.
