Legislation aims to help farmers hurt by weather

Vermont farmers in recent years have had no shortage of extreme weather events to contend with, from a devastating, late-spring freeze in 2023 to excessive rainfall and subsequent flooding over the past two summers. Damaging weather events are costly for farmers, and they’re becoming more frequent and intense as the planet heats up.
