Lynn Marie Wendel Bull, 73, of Bristol

LYNN MARIE WENDEL BULL

BRISTOL — Lynn Marie Wendel Bull, 73, of Bristol, Vt., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at University of Vermont Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 27, 1951, in Portland, Maine, to Jack E. & Madeline (Hurlburt) Wendel. Lynn attended grade school in Bristol and was in the first class to graduate from the newly constructed Mt. Abe, class of ’69.

Lynn was born in Portland. Almost immediately Jack and Midge moved to California for Jack to further his career. When Lynn was three they moved back to Vermont to raise their family.

She followed in her fathers’ artistic footsteps working in graphic design, and then moved on to sewing and knitting, where she found a true calling. She was a knitter until she retired in 2010.

Lynn loved to travel with her best friend Maggie. Some of their favorite places were Key West, New Orleans, Outer Banks & Savannah. They would map out their trip, jump in the minivan and head off for new adventures.

She loved all sorts of music from throat singing to Joan Baez. She really loved going to bluegrass festivals with her husband. Pat and Lynn loved spending time together on their motorcycle, visiting the bike rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, twice.

Lynn was predeceased by her parents, beloved son Brian Mayer, nephew Chad Larson, and Cousin Gary Hurlburt. She is survived by the love of her life, Patrick; daughter Jeanne Bull and grandson Colby Trudeau and Jeanne’s partner Dan Ferrechia; daughter Amanda Bull, partner Josh Parks, and grandchildren Kendra and Oliver Parks; her sister Karen Bushey and her husband Jeff, nephews Noah and Wyeth Bushey; brother Jack; and in-laws Kristine Larson and family, Melanie Bull and family and John Bull and family.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m., also at Brown-McClay followed by a reception at the American Legion in Vergennes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bristol Rescue Squad, Breast Care Center at UVMMC, and Planned Parenthood. ◊
