Dolores Hawkins, 87, of Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH — Dolores Hawkins, 87, died peacefully at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Burlington, Vt.

Dolores (Farr) lived in Barre, Vt., for several years. Dolores and her husband, Calvin Hawkins purchased land in Ferrisburgh, Vt., in 1988. Dolores worked at Wake Robin Life Plan Community for 29 years and was loved by so many.

Dolores’ husband, Calvin, died in 2018. She was also predeceased by her parents, Gustave and Mathilda Burghardt; her siblings, Harold Warner, Chadwick Champion, Robert Warner and Carol Brisk.

She is survived by siblings, Donald K. Warner, Barbara Homuston and Larry Solo, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her children, Henry Bach,Jr., Theresa Berkeley (John), Michelle Bach and Tina Bach; grandchildren, Vanesa, Mariah, Alyssa and Alexis (Henry), Shannon and Emily (Theresa), Theron and Zachary (Michelle), Jennifer and Kerry (Tina); and 22 great-grandchildren.

Dolores also leaves behind her dear friend, Howard Humiston, who helped her around the house; he was always there for Dolores if she needed help, as were her neighbors and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Gage Cemetery on Little Chicago Road in Ferrisburgh, Vt., on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. If three inches or more of snow, then the service will be held at the Town Hall, 3279 US Route 7, Ferrisburgh, Vt.
