Parker Beatty receives Fulbright

PARKER BEATTY

BRUNSWICK, Maine — Parker Beatty, a Middlebury Union High School alumnus, recently graduated from Bowdoin College, where he was a neuroscience major and a two-year captain of the Bowdoin track and field team.

Beatty was named to the NESCAC All-Academic team and has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Taiwan in the coming year.

Beatty also helped the Bowdoin team win a NESCAC Sportsmanship award, and this past winter broke the school record in the 60-meter hurdles with at time of 8.18. He was selected as an All-New England athlete for his efforts, and was the Maine state champion in the event.
