Pablo A. Rodriguez, 82, of Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY — Pablo Rodriguez passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, after having suffered a major stroke on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

Pablo was born on Nov. 28, 1941, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Rosa (Aleman) and Adan Rodriguez. He moved to Vermont approximately 25 years ago and was employed by Nop Bros. & Sons until his retirement.

Pablo is survived by his loving daughter and longtime caregiver, Alicia Rodriguez of Salisbury, and his beloved granddaughter, Camila Blanco of Salisbury. Pablo is also survived, in Mexico, by his wife, Dolores; three daughters, Perla, Guadalupe and Luz Elva; six grandchildren; and four siblings.

His daughter Alicia would like to sincerely thank the Palliative Care staff at Porter Hospital for all their kindness, support and respect to Pablo during his last days. An extra special note of appreciation must go to Palliate Care social worker Taylor Zak. Taylor was wonderful in helping navigate and finding the best care for Pablo.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday evening at 7 p.m., on March 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury, followed by a reception in the church hall.

Pablo enjoyed many wonderful days at Project Independence and the family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elderly Services, Inc., PO Box 581, Middlebury, VT  05753-9908.
