Letter to the editor: Candidate not walking the walk
I find it interesting that one of the candidates for Middlebury selectboard, an incumbent no less, Khan is “particularly proud of his service on the Middlebury’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.” However, at his store there is no handicapped parking (signage or on pavement), and when questioned about this he stated “tell me when you are coming” and I will be sure you have a parking space. Even if there was handicapped parking, one could not use a walking device or wheelchair to manage the cluttered, narrow aisles of the store. Is he as equally proud of this? Perhaps it is time to vote for the other two candidates.
