CHERYL HOFFNAGLE KENNEDY

BRISTOL — Cheryl Hoffnagle Kennedy, 79, passed away peacefully with her sons at her side on Thursday, Nov. 9, following a brief illness.

Cheryl was predeceased by her husband, Alan, in 1990. She is survived by her sons Scott and John, and grandsons Alan and James. She leaves behind family and many close friends who were always close to her thoughts and her heart.

A resident of Bristol for all of her 79 years, Cheryl graduated from Bristol High School in 1962. She attended the University of Vermont and earned an English degree, which she put to use teaching at Mount Abraham and later in special education at Bristol Elementary, touching many lives throughout the community.

At Cheryl’s request, no services will be held at this time. A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held with family and friends at an event to be scheduled in the coming spring.
