Lawrence A. ‘Larry’ Senecal, 75, of Cornwall

CORNWALL — Lawrence A. “Larry” Senecal passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023. He lived in Cornwall, Vt., most of his life. Lawrence loved hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, and gardening. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the Vermont Army National Guard. He served on the parish council in various capacities for years. He enjoyed coaching Little League for both sons for many years and was a water skiing coach for sons and their friends.

He is survived by wife, Marguerite Senecal; two sons, Brian and wife Andrea Senecal of Milton, Vt., and Bruce (and husband Scott) Senecal of Ogunquit, Maine and Pompano Beach, Fla.; two granddaughters, Megan (Carson) Smith of Austin, Texas, and Savana Senecal of Milton, Vt.; sister Elaine (Richard) Sullivan of Middlebury, Vt.; several special nieces and nephews; as well as many cousins still with us. He was preceded in death by his parents, Therese and Robert S. Senecal; and his brother, Robert J. (Jan) Senecal.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at 11 a.m., at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury, Vt. Donations in Lawrence’s name can be made to the Cornwall Fire Department, Middlebury Rescue, and Homeward Bound Humane Society.
