Duguay leaving Better Middlebury Partnership to join ACEDC
MIDDDLEBURY — Longtime Better Middlebury Partnership Executive Director Karen Duguay is stepping down to take a newly created assistant director position at the Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC).
Duguay has helmed the BMP for more than 10 years. The Partnership is the entity responsible for building community, assisting downtown businesses, organizing events, and marketing Middlebury.
Based in Middlebury, the ACEDC’s underlying mission is to “help businesses in all stages of growth retain and create good-paying jobs in Addison County. Organized to promote the common business and economic interests of commercial enterprises in Addison County, ACEDC strives to create an entrepreneurial and innovative environment that nurtures businesses to launch, grow, and thrive.”
The Independent will have a more thorough report on Duguay’s career transition — including her new tasks at the ACEDC and the major accomplishments she helped forge for the BMP and its members — in the Nov. 2 edition.
