Albert “Ray” Doyle, 88, formerly of Salisbury
BROOKFIELD — Albert “Ray” Doyle, 88, of Brookfield, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 10, 2023, at his home.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1935, in Lawrence, Mass., the son of Fred and Irene (Pariseau) Doyle. He was raised in Andover, Mass. He attended Springfield College and Tufts College.
Ray had lived in Salisbury, Vt., from 1960 to 2014, then moved to Brookfield.
Ray was an elementary school teacher in Middlebury, retiring in 2009. He was a former member of the Salisbury School Board and the Vermont Achievement Center Board of Directors.
Ray married Mary Churchill in Brookfield, Vt., in July of 1965.
His hobbies included gardening, sugaring and woodland improvement.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Fred and Russell Doyle.
He is survived by his wife, Mary.
There are no calling hours or services scheduled. Arrangements are by the Day Funeral Home in Randolph. ◊
