John Edward Loyer III, 54, of Colchester
COLCHESTER — We are sad to announce the passing of John Edward Loyer III. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 26, 2023, in Colchester, Vt., at the age of 54, after battling cancer.
On Nov. 11, 1968, John was born to John Edward Loyer II and Barbara Ann (Humiston) Loyer. In 1983, he met Crissandra Haskins in New Haven, Vt. They married on Nov. 21, 1986, in Coos Bay, Ore. In 2022, they returned to Vermont to reconnect with family.
John worked various jobs throughout his life. The one he loved the most was being a dishwasher at the Hilton. He will be forever remembered by his nickname “Spot Jumper” because he took pride in his family’s home.
His hobbies and interests were coin collecting, star gazing, and spending time with his wife and family.
John was preceded by his parents, John and Barbara Loyer; his sister, Sandra Cameron; and his grandson, Jayton Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Crissandra Loyer, and his five children, Jessica, John, Tiffany, Shawn and Rosie; his nine grandchildren; his two sisters, Brenda Park and Mary Loyer; and five brothers, Niles Loyer, Rick Loyer, Butch Cameron, Michael Cameron, and Frederick Brown.
A gathering will be at the American Legion Post 14 in Vergennes this Saturday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome. Please bring a dish and stories to share. If you have any pictures that you would like to share, please bring them. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, and God bless all. ◊
