I want it noted: On the front page of the Thursday, June 1, issue of the Addison County Independent the staging of the Memorial Day parades is referred to as the “Official start of summer.”

While climate change has modified the seasons, and Vermont’s seasons are different from other places (Snow, Mud and Snow, Less Mud), Summer still starts on the Solstice, this year on June 21.
