SHARLENE N. JONES

RUTLAND — Sharlene N. Jones, beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother, born Jan. 27, 1937, to Archie and G. Evelyn (Boudro) Adams, died peacefully on Jan. 15, 2023.

As a teenager, Sharlene started her career as a switchboard operator in Shoreham, Vt. She went on to work for the phone company in both Middlebury and Rutland until she retired to Florida with her husband, Lee D. Jones

She was predeceased by her husband, Lee, her parents, and her brother Dennis Adams. She is survived by her brothers Ronald (Ruth) Adams, Neal (Sue) Adams, and Bruce Adams; daughter Terry (Robert) Rosencrantz; son Tim (Penny) Jones; daughter Jennifer (Richard Brody) Jones; grandchildren Zadek, Maximum, Axel and Lily Rosencrantz; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial will take place on Friday, June 16, at 1 p.m., Vermont Veteran’s Cemetery.

On Saturday, June 17, a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. with lunch to follow at Southside Steakhouse, 170 S. Main St., Rutland
