BETTYMAE BOND

SHELBURNE — Bettymae (Burnham) (Wood) Bond, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep at The Arbors, Shelburne, Vt., where she had resided for the past five years, on Feb. 17, 2023.

She was married twice; first to Roger Wood, with whom she had four children, Michael (deceased at birth), Diane (Alan) Saunders of Bristol, Timothy (deceased) and Ernest (Brenda) of East Dummerston; then Harry Bond after Roger passed. She had five grandchildren, Jenna, Patrick, David, Ben and Keith.

Bettymae was involved in many volunteer organizations over the years, as she loved helping people and children. She worked at Miller and Scott farm orchards as the kids were growing up and spent her last working years at East Dummerston School as library resource clerk.

Considering her love for cats and the upcoming kitten season, anyone wishing to remember her, please do so with a contribution to your local humane shelter in her memory to their kitten fund.

Bettymae was laid to rest in the family plot at Dummerston Center Cemetery. ◊
