Letter to the editor: Medicare offers cautionary tale
I appreciated reading Heidi Holliger’s Dec. 1 letter to the editor “Be very wary of Medicare pitch.” I too have wondered about it. Then further reading the Addy Indy is a comprehensive breakdown of Medicare services by Dr Fjeld.
The only reason we originally went to an Advantage Plan was when we learned we are not covered while traveling outside the USA. Last year we were enticed into moving our Medicare totally into an Advantage Plan. Although we have been pleased with the coverage and many benefits, I remain suspicious of the reason such benefits can be offered at such a low cost. Is it another way for insurance companies to stay in the game?
Will we be sorry down the road as Medicare is undermined?
We need to pass Universal Healthcare ASAP!
