Lincoln resident Estella Laird, a sophomore at Champlain Valley Union, finished 34th out of 245 of the best runners in six states running 19.37.6 over 5K.

Two Middlebury Union High School runners also performed admirably. Tiger ninth-grader Mary Harrington (shown left at Mile 2) clocked the course in 21:01.5 and finishing 106th, and sophomore teammate Beth McIntosh (above in the pack two-thirds of the way through the race) finished in 21:33.3 for 136th.
