Letter to the editor: Evans-Frantz for senator

Isaac Evans-Frantz is a born activist. From the time Governor Howard Dean invited him to become the first high school student voting member of Vermont’s State Board of Education, Isaac has been a leader in social and climate justice. A few examples include his work in a reproductive health clinic, coalition building in DC to end the war in Yemen, and helping organize the 2014 People’s Climate March in New York City—the largest climate march in history. In a demonstration of grassroots organizing at its best, Isaac has raised over $100,000—he never has and never will take large or corporate donations.

Isaac’s list of accomplishments is impressive and readily accessible online, but it’s in meeting and campaigning with Isaac that I have witnessed his compassion, energy, and commitment. His comfort talking to everyone, especially people with opposing views, is proof of his ability to cross the aisle and form bipartisan alliances. This is the kind of leadership we need to tackle the economic, social, and environmental crises our world faces.

If you want positive change, vote for Isaac Evans-Frantz for Vermont’s newest US Senator.
