Clarence “Bud” Merriles of Middlebury
Clarence “Bud” Merriles passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022.
Bud, as he was known, came from a large family that lived in the beautiful island of Maui. After graduating from high school, he went into the army and finished his higher education on the GI bill. He was a dedicated guidance counselor, beginning his career at the Valley Stream Memorial Junior High School on Long Island.
He transferred to Middlebury Union High School in the early seventies. He was a co-owner of the North Forty in the mid-sixties. Bud was a friend to all and dedicated himself to St. Mary’s Church.
He will be missed by so many but his love for helping others will be remembered. Thank you to all who helped Bud in his last days. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 10 a.m., at the Farmingdale Cemetery in Middlebury. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary’s Church, 326 College St Middlebury, VT 05753.
Arrangements under the direction of Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home.
