TICONDEROGA, N.Y. — On Sept. 17, 2026, Lydia Ann Brown Johnson of Ticonderoga, N.Y., (formerly from Middlebury, Vt.) passed away peacefully.
Lydia was born Aug. 9, 1940, the daughter of Charles and Marian (Rhoades) Brown.
Lydia was married to Wayne Johnson Aug. 30, 1958, at the home of her parents in Bethel, Vt.
A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lydia’s family was the center of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lydia is survived by Carl (Julia), Lisa (Mark) and Paul (Debra), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will remember her with love. Lydia was predeceased by her husband, parents, siblings, granddaughter and many other family members.
A wake will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 6-8 p.m., at Sanderson Funeral Home in Middlebury, Vt. The funeral will be held Thursday. Sept. 24, at Middlebury United Methodist Church, at 11 a.m. ◊
