Route 125 washed out in Addison

ADDISON — Look for an alternate route if you are planning to drive in the vicinity of McCuen Slang in Addison on Lake Champlain near the Bridport town line. A 500-foot stretch of Route 125 is shut down in the area of Whitney Creek Drive in Addison due to a washout in the roadway.

The washout is south of the Chimney Point State Park.

Vermont State Police said the road was closed through Sunday night and through Monday morning. They said it would remained closed until further notice.

Motorists should expect delays in the area, or seek alternate routes.

Please drive carefully.
