Vermont State Police Log for Jul. 8
ADDISON COUNTY — A crash on Route 7 outside Vergennes Monday evening closed the main thoroughfare down to one lane for awhile and sent one person to the hospital.
On July 5 at around a quarter passed 10 p.m. Vermont State Police responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 7 and Monkton Road in Ferrisburgh. Troopers investigated and report that Amanda Lambert, 35, of Middlebury was turning her 1996 Honda Civic off Route 7 onto Monkton Road when she crossed into the southbound lane and was struck by a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven southbound by Grace Winfield-Boise, 31 of Bristol.
Both vehicles were considered total losses, and neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.
Emergency medical teams took both Lambert and Winfield-Boise to UVM Medical Center to be treated for suspected moderate injuries. Investigation is ongoing.
State police said they expected to file at least one traffic ticket in the case.
