Sunderland receives degree in osteopathy

Daniel Kenneth Sunderland of Middlebury has received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and will undergo family medicine residency training with Eastern Connecticut Health Network in Manchester, Conn.
The son of Daniel and Joleen Sunderland of Middlebury, Sunderland was born at Porter Hospital, attended Mary Hogan and Middlebury Union Middle and High schools. While at MUHS he was an emergency department volunteer at Porter Hospital as well as a volunteer Spanish interpreter for the Middlebury Open Door Clinic, and he did a stint working for Middlebury Regional EMS over the summer while a student at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
