Kenneth Wendell Alger, 36, formerly of Whiting
CLEARWATER, Fla. — Kenneth Wendell Alger passed away at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., on May 15, 2021. Kenneth was surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born in Middlebury, Vt., on May 31, 1984, to Teresa Lee Conway and the late Lonnie Lee Alger.
Kenneth is survived by his wife LeAnn Alger and his two boys, Charles Wendell Alger and Nolan Thomas Alger; mother, Teresa Conway and stepfather, Daniel Conway; his three sisters, Lisa Alger, Trisha Alger and her life partner Jon Davis, and Katie Patrick and her husband Eric Patrick; grandparents Edgar and Sandra Greeno and Stella Alger; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of friends. Kenneth was predeceased by his father, Lonnie Lee Alger, grandfather Wendell Charles Alger, mother-in-law Theresa Dufresne and cousin Jennie Rose Pockett.
Kenneth grew up in Whiting, Vt., and graduated from Otter Valley Union High School in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and racing, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Kenneth loved his two boys more than anything in life. A friendship with Kenneth was to know true, genuine love. Kenneth had a heart of gold and was just a big teddy bear. Kenneth always went above and beyond — if a friend or family needed something, he was always there.
Kenneth worked for Premier Taxi as a driver and was helping his sister build up her business and took pride in the work he did. Kenneth’s motto in life was “I am Kenny from Vermont and I do as I want.”
Kenneth’s request was not to have any services, but he wanted us to have a celebration of life for him to remember the happy times. There are so many with Kenny. On June 5, the family will be having a celebration of life at the Brandon American legion from 1 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we are asking to donate to the fund to help with the future of his boys.
Kenneth is now reunited with his father Lonnie Lee Alger, who he so dearly missed.◊
