VERGENNES — The Board of Directors of the John Graham Housing & Services (JGH&S) has named Susan Whitmore the organization’s Executive Director as of April 15, 2021. Prior to accepting the position at JGH&S, Whitmore was the President & CEO at First Call, a large nonprofit drug and alcohol prevention and recovery agency in Kansas City, Mo.
Throughout her tenure at First Call, Whitmore was responsible for the significant growth and success of this critical community resource. She brings extensive experience in fundraising, philanthropy, behavioral health, and nonprofit management, all of which will build upon and enhance the JGH&S’ successes in serving individuals and families needing safe affordable housing and related services. Whitmore has chosen to relocate to Vermont from the highly populated Kansas City area to be closer to her family in northern Vermont
JGH&S provides temporary shelter, transitional housing, rental units, and related social services to homeless individuals and families in Addison County, Vt.
