BRISTOL — Gary passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2021. He was born on January 29, 1958. He was 63.
Gary loved to play his drums. He played his drums for anyone who wanted to listen. He loved fishing and hunting with his sons.
He worked as a school bus driver for 10 years. Then he worked for the towns of Bristol and Monkton as a highway worker for 30 years
He was a Bristol fireman. He was in the fire department for 24 years. He enjoyed being with his friends and saving lives.
He retired from the highway department of Monkton on Oct. 1, 2019. He enjoyed his retirement.
He loved his wife and sons dearly. He would do anything for them. He also had many close friends that he loved to reminiscence with about the good old days. He would tell his boys about his friends when he was in high school. He loved to tell those stories to them.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ann (Bushey) Clodgo; his three sons, Daniel, Joseph and Anthony Clodgo; his mother, Lucille Clodgo; brothers Steven, Larry, Joel and Rachael Clodgo; sister Linda Clodgo; brother-in-law Bruce and Debbie Bushey; and sisters-in-law Paula Bushey and Tammy and Richard Young.
He was predeceased by his father and a brother, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, and three brothers-in-law.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, at St. Ambrose Church in Bristol. For those who cannot attend in person the funeral service will be recorded and available to watch on the following Wednesday, March 17, on the Brown-McClay Funeral Home website.
