STARKSBORO — Bette J Mason, 93, died at her home in Starksboro on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, with family by her side.  She was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Bristol to Clayton and Leta (Graham) Alger.
Bette lived a life of hard work as a homemaker, commercial baker, hotel receptionist, foster parent, and home childcare provider. Bette received great pleasure serving home-cooked comfort foods, which were sure to include her renowned donuts, pies, and pickles. Bette was an avid reader and especially enjoyed doing so with her Boston Terrier Bobbie Toes on her lap.
Bette was predeceased by her loving husband David (Stoney) Mason. She is survived by her son, Richard Mason and wife Heather Purinton, and grandson Everett Mason of Hinesburg.
