Emily Ann Wideawake, 72, of Middlebury

EMILY ANN WIDEAWAKE

MIDDLEBURY — Emily Ann Wideawake passed away at Porter Medical Center Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021. She was born November 6, 1948 to parents Cecil Wideawake and Mary Richards.
She was a hard worker who loved her family and friends. After retiring from Middlebury College, she continued to work, most recently at Hannaford Career Center as an Administrative Assistant to the Director. Emily was a wonderful friend who will be missed by all who loved her. Family and friends were always welcomed to join at her kitchen table for conversation and “puzzle putting.”
She is survived by her children Stacey Stone (Todd) and Corey Pratt (Laurie); grandchildren Hillary, Justin and Blair Stone and Devyn Pratt; siblings Gilbert Wideawake (Judy), Rusty Sargent (Paula), Connie Sargent, Carol Allen, Christine Supernaw (Roger), and Randall Sargent; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and very near and dear friends Kit and John Quesnel.
She was predeceased by her parents, daughter Sara Pratt, brothers Richard Sargent and Robert Sargent, stepfather Rudolph Sargent and brother-in-law David Allen.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 2-4 p.m. at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 117 South Main Street, Middlebury. COVID restrictions apply. Masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to HOPE at 282 Boardman Street, Middlebury, VT 05753. Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home. Online condolences at sandersonfuneralservice.com.◊
