Rodney H. Stagg, 83, of Shoreham
SHOREHAM — Rodney H. Stagg, 83, of Shoreham died on Saturday, Jan. 30. He was born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., on Jan. 26, 1938, the son of Roy and Dorothy (Myrick) Stagg.
Rodney moved from Ticonderoga just before starting school. For his first eight years he went to school in Shoreham. In 1957, he was part of the last class to graduate from Middlebury High School. During his school days, he would spend time helping his father on the family farm. After high school graduation, Rodney was employed by International Paper for many years.
Outside of work, he was a dedicated antique car enthusiast and his pride was a 1957 Chevy, which he would bring to annual car shows. Rodney also enjoyed maintaining his two John Deere tractors.
Survivors include his wife, Jean (Frasier) Stagg; daughter, Patricia (Randy) Stockwell; sister, Marjorie (Norman) Briere of Arizona; nephew, Bruce Briere and family of Atlanta, Ga.;and grandchildren Zachary and Roy.
He was predeceased by his parents and by his son, John Stagg.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home.
