Vermont State Police Log: Leicester man cited for threat with deadly weapon
ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police operating out of the New Haven barracks had relatively few incidents to report. Troopers:
• On Oct. 24 at 12:38 p.m. stopped a vehicle driven by Everett White, 38, of Huntington on Route 7 in New Haven and cited White for driving with a criminally suspended license.
• On Oct. 29 at around 7:15 p.m. responded to the report of a disturbance at a home in the Jenna Road neighborhood of Leicester. Police alleged that Kori Martell, 29, of Leicester was armed with a deadly weapon and threatened to use it on a household member in the presence of a child. Troopers took Martell to the New Haven barracks and cited him for first-degree aggravated domestic assault and committing an offense in the presence of a child.
• On Oct. 30 at a little before 11 p.m. responded to a report that several people in a pickup truck were shooting at cows near Route 73 and Horton Road in Orwell. Police said six cows were shot (see full story in A section). Vermont State Police are asking anyone with information on the owner of the cows and individuals involved in the shooting to contact Trooper Josh Gurwicz at the New Haven barracks at (802) 388-4919.
