MIDDLEBURY — Rollin “Pete” Many, 85, of Middlebury, Vt., died peacefully surrounded by his family on Oct. 30, 2020. Pete was born April 18, 1935, in New Haven to Clara and Jean Many.
Pete was deeply loved by his family, many friends, and his brothers that he proudly served with for 57 years at the Middlebury Fire Department. He enjoyed driving “ole Betsy” in the Middlebury Memorial Day parades and served as Chief. Pete was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from Rogers Fuels after 47 years.
Pete enjoyed hunting & fishing and working in his vegetable garden and maintaining his plush lawn. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Pete is survived by his wife Patricia Barnes Many; his children Bruce Many (Becky), Rebecca Darragh (James), Brenda Cutich (Terry), Belinda Curler (Shawn), and Ronald Stevers (Paula); his sisters Agnes Blow and Theresa Ouellette (Emile); his brothers Robert Many, Raymond Many, Paul Many (Donna); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pete was predeceased by his parents, Clara and Jean Many, daughter Ann Stevers Degray, and three sisters, Helen Ouellette, Mary Buchanan, and Doris Armell.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main Street from 4-6 p.m. COVID restrictions apply. Please wear a mask.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Luke Austin as Officiant. COVID restrictions apply. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
