LINCOLN — A big thank you to all who stopped by the firehouse for the 5-Town Fill the Firehouse Food Drive with your food and monetary donations. Thanks to your kindness and generosity, Lincoln’s total was 905 pounds of food and $878 in monetary donations collected. The overall 5-town total was 5,924 pounds of food collected and $3,177 in monetary donations to benefit the Have-A-Heart Food Shelf in Bristol. Thank you all for making a difference in our community. We appreciate you!
The Five Town Resource Partnership will be sponsoring “Share the Warmth — A Winter Outerwear Giveaway,” on Saturday, Nov. 7. They are seeking donations of outerwear that will be given away for free to anyone who needs it. Suggested donation items that are in clean, usable condition include winter coats/jackets, snow pants, snowsuits, hats, mittens and winter/insulated boots. Donations will be accepted through Tuesday, Nov. 3, and may be left inside the downstairs door at the United Church of Lincoln.
The Lincoln Cooperative Preschool is selling beautiful 14-inch decorated wreaths again this year. Each wreath is $20 and will be available for drop off or pickup on Friday, Nov. 20. The wreaths can be dropped off at your home or you can arrange a time to meet in the store parking lot for pickup.  All orders are due by Thursday, Nov. 5. Please email Ila Halby at [email protected] to order. All profits benefit the Lincoln Cooperative Preschool. Thank you!
VOTING REMINDERS
The polling place for this election is at Burnham Hall. If you plan on voting in person, please bring your own ballot if you received one in the mail. Absentee ballots can be returned to the secure drop box outside the town office, prior to Election Day. If you haven’t already registered to vote, do it now! Please do not come to the polling place if you are sick.  Call the town clerk’s office and they will assist you with voting.  Masks are required to be worn inside the polling place, and please be mindful of safe distancing from others.
REMINDER
There will be a pumpkin-carving fundraiser at the library on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 2:30-5 p.m. A donation for pumpkin carving is suggested. Delicious soup and yummy baked goods will also be available for purchase. Costumes are welcome!
Until next time … In A Gentle Way, You Can Shake The World. The Only Person You Are Destined To Become, Is The Person You Decide To Be. Do Something Today That Your Future Self Will Thank You For.
