Ralph Myhre holds women’s tourney

MIDDLEBURY — The pairs of Jojo Valente and Kristen Shaeffer and Harriet Murray and Sue Dula were the winners at the 38th annual Ralph Myhre Golf Course’s Women’s Invitational, played on July 11.
Valente and Shaeffer were the First Place Gross victors, followed by Colleen Ringquist and Danielle Tomasi in second place, and Jane Beck and Marilyn O’Keefe in third. 
Murray and Dula were the First Place Net winners, followed by Amy Eroh and Jennifer Lynch in second, and Eva Mastalos and Giselle Lafleche in third. 
Kristen Shaeffer was a double winner in Closest to the Pin contests, with Mia Politano and Valente prevailing in the other two Par 3 holes.
On July 7 at a Junior New England PGA event at the Windham Country Club, Ralph Myhre’s Lucas Politano took first place in the boys’ 12-13-year-old age group, while sister Mia Politano was seventh in her age group. 
At Vermont’ Women’s Senior Championship at the Newport Country Club on July 8 and 9, Dula finished fourth in the Legend Division. 
In regular weekly play at Ralph Myhre, the foursome of Bert Phinney, Josh Newton, Dale White and Ric Wheeler won the Wednesday Scramble last week. 
In Bill Davidson Thursday Men’s Golf the threesome of Uwe Luksch, Mike Schoenfeld and Eric Bergland prevailed, with Gary Wright, Matthew Biette and George Ramsayer finishing second, and Steve Maier, Donald Dayton and Bill Brown taking third. Schoenfeld shot the day’s low net score.
