Vermont State Police Log: Ferrisburgh woman is cited for stalking

ADDISON COUNTY — On June 12 Vermont State police were called to a disturbance on Bisbee Road in Ferrisburgh at around 7:35 p.m.
Troopers investigated and determined that Pamela Blair, 64, of Ferrisburgh had engaged in tumultuous, threatening behavior causing public annoyance. They said Blair also had threatened another Ferrisburgh woman and had been stalking both her and her family members.
Police cited Blair into Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, to answer to the charges of stalking, disorderly conduct and criminal threatening.
In a separate case, state police allege that a Whiting 18-year-old assaulted a Brandon woman twice in the span of four days earlier this month.
First, on June 12 at around 6:30 p.m., state police received a report of an assault and vandalism at a Whiting home. After investigating, police reported that Cheyenne Long had physically assaulted a 28-year-old Brandon woman and vandalized the woman’s vehicle. Troopers cited Long for simple assault and unlawful mischief.
Then on June 16 at approximately 3:45 p.m. police were told of an assault that took place on North Road in Whiting. The accused — Long — fled the residence, but police found her a short distance away. Police allege that Long struck the same victim several times causing pain, and also damaged property owned by the victim. Troopers again cited Long for simple assault and unlawful mischief.
In other recent activity, troopers:
•  On June 10 received several reports of vandalism to private property that occurred in the North Cove area of Lake Dunmore in Salisbury during the previous evening and the early morning of the 10th. Preliminary investigation showed that the criminal used a sharp object to cut upholstery belonging to a boat, as well as boat coverings and water tubes. The total damage is estimated to be between $5,000 and $8,000.

•  On June 11 at approximately 5:20 p.m. responded to Stoney Hill Road in Bristol to assist Bristol police with a vehicle off the roadway. The driver, identified as Robert C. Timmis, 64, of Bristol, was treated by members of the Bristol Rescue Squad and transported to Porter Medical Hospital to be evaluated for potential injuries. State police later took Timmis into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and cited him for DUI.
•  On June 11 at approximately 8 p.m. were dispatched to a Route 7 home in Leicester to investigate an alleged physical altercation. Police cited Jeffery McGrath, 52, of Leicester for simple assault.
•  On June 12 at 11:04 p.m. stopped a motor vehicle on Route 7 in Middlebury after observing a motor vehicle violation. Police cited the driver, identified as Irving D. Rose III, 40, of Salisbury, for driving with a criminally suspended license.
•  On June 12 at about 20 minutes before midnight saw a motorcycle traveling 76 mph in a 50 mph zone on Route 7 in Salisbury. Troopers cited the driver, identified as Stephan Belanger, 26, of Middlebury, for driving with a criminally suspended license.
•  On June 13 at 1:43 a.m. received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Route 17 East in New Haven. Troopers found the car and cited the driver, identified as Michael J. Lepore-Capek, 33, of Salisbury, for driving under the influence of drugs.
•  On June 2 received a complaint that a person had trespassed on a Quaker Street property in Ferrisburgh. Police investigation indicated that Eleanor Barnes, 74, of Ferrisburgh was not allowed under court order to enter the property in question to return mail that was wrongfully delivered. On June 15 police announced that they had cited Barnes for unlawful trespass.
•  On June 16 at 9:17 p.m. logged a report of a one-car crash on Route 30 in Whiting. There were no injuries reported. Troopers cited the driver, identified as Kaylin D. Burt, 30, of Brandon, for driving under the influence, refusal.
•  On June 18 at approximately 7 p.m. responded to a very bad one-car crash on Monkton Road near the intersection with Bisbee Road in Ferrisburgh. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Madison Valiquette of Williston, was airlifted to the University of Vermont Medical Center with suspected serious bodily injuries.
Police said Valiquette’s 2005 Volkswagen Jetta crossed the center line and struck a utility pole.

State police were assisted the Vergennes Police Department, Vergennes Fire Department, Vergennes Area Rescue Squad, and other first responders.
•  On June 19 at a few minutes before 10 p.m. received a report of a one-car crash with no injuries on Swamp Road in Cornwall. Police ended up citing Eric W. Butterfield, 41, of Middlebury for driving under the influence, refusal.
•  On June 19 at approximately 10:35 p.m. were dispatched to a reported assault on South Lincoln Road in Lincoln. Troopers report that they discovered Jessica Erwin, 56, of Lincoln had physically assaulted another Lincoln resident, and they alleged that Erwin had been driving and intoxicated during the assault. Police cited Erwin for simple assault and driving under the influence.
•  On June 20 at around 5 p.m. stopped motor vehicle on Route 7 in New Haven after receiving a report of a vehicle operating erratically. In the end, troopers cited Annette Berry, 56, of Cornwall for driving under the influence. 
•  Early on June 21 received several reports of mailbox vandalisms on South Lincoln Road in Lincoln. Preliminary investigation showed someone used a club or bat to smash at least four mailboxes on the South Lincoln Road. The total damage regarding these incidents is estimated to be between $400 and $500.

•  On June 21 at around 1:30 a.m. responded with Middlebury police to a disturbance at Kampersville Campground in Salisbury. Troopers report that Brady Real, 24, of Swanton threatened a member of the camp staff. Real was cited for criminal threatening and disorderly conduct. Police also cited Tallon Real, 18, of Middlebury and Daryn Barsalou, 24, of Bristol for disorderly conduct.
•  On June 21 at a little after 8 a.m. got a report of a family disturbance that occurred the day prior. Troopers investigated and determined that Rebecca Johnston, 40, of Starksboro had assaulted a household member. Police cited Johnston for domestic assault.
•  On June 21 at around 20 minutes before 7 p.m. looked into a report of shoplifting at Dollar General in Ferrisburgh. Police alleged that Tiffany Bedard, 31, of Vergennes attempted to steal $28 worth of merchandise from the store. Police cited Bedard for retail theft.
