Jessie-Mae Pauline DeCosta, 32, of Bristol

BRISTOL — Jessie-Mae Pauline DeCosta died May 11, 2020, in the Intensive Care Unit at UVM Medical Center, just short of her 33rd birthday.
She was born May 18, 1987, at Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station Base in Havelock, N.C., to LaNell Corkins and John F. DeCosta III. She graduated from Middlebury Union High School in 2005.
She loved snow boarding and taking care of and rescuing animals. She was artistic, athletic and loved writing poetry and journaling. She also loved many outdoors activities and in fact had three snowflake tattoos on her arm. She was feisty, funny, loving, and had the most beautiful, soulful brown eyes, which were a window to her soul.
She is survived by her parents; her much-loved significant other, Steven Browne of Shoreham, Vt.; aunt Christine Dubois and family of Addison, Vt.; aunt Denise Foley and family of Wakefield, R.I.; and brother John DeCosta IV of Massachusetts.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date under the direction of Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home in Middlebury, Vt.◊
